Shravan Stars defeated Tigers XI by 38 runs in the first match of the Hajiyani Zubeda Abdul Razzak Charitable Trust-organized Royal Premier Cricket League (RPCL) Season 7 on Thursday at the Mecosabagh ground.
Shravan Stars batted first and scored 99 runs in eight overs for the loss of four wickets. Pravesh Asudani led the way with 30 runs, while Honey Tekchandani chipped in with 24. Saurabh Singh took two wickets for the Tigers XI.
RPCL-7 is inaugurated by Rev Ramakrishna and Sandeep Gaikwad.
Tigers XI were restricted to 61 for six in their allotted eight overs. Ashish Waghade led the way with 19 points. Adwani claimed three wickets for the winners and was named man of the match.
Earlier, Rev Ramakrishna (District Superintendent) and Sandeep Gaikwad (Principal of Mecosabagh Methodist High School), inaugurated the tournament.
