The American College of Cardiology (ACC) which leads in the formation of health policy, standards, and guidelines for cardiovascular care, has accepted an original research trial done by four leading cardiologists in the city.
The doctors will present their research at the ACC scientific meeting in March 2023 in New Orleans, Louisiana, as a “late-breaking study.” Dr. Partho Sengupta from the United States helped with the effort.
If everything goes according to plan, a gadget that resembles a wristwatch would be used to examine the troponin level in heart attack patients, replacing the need for blood tests to identify troponin levels.
Troponin levels that are extremely high indicate the onset of a heart attack. It is a useful supplement to the ECG for the accurate diagnosis of a heart attack.
Trials were conducted on hundreds of patients by four cardiologists- Dr. Shantanu Sengupta, Dr. Mahesh Fulwani, Dr. Aziz Khan, and Dr. Harshwardhan Mardikar from Nagpur city and Dr. Smit Shrivastava from Raipur.
