In the Kullu area of Himachal Pradesh, a 30-year-old tourist from Maharashtra perished after plummeting hundreds of feet to the earth while paragliding.
During a tandem flight with a pilot, a harness failure is blamed for the fall. His safety belt apparently failed when the paraglider was in the air, throwing him to the ground.
Locals hurried the visitor and the pilot to the hospital in Kullu, where Suraj was pronounced dead. According to reports, the paraglider’s pilot is making a full recovery in a hospital.
The deceased, Suraj Sanjay Shah, was visiting the hill state with his pals when he passed away. He was from Shirval village in Maharashtra’s Satara district.
The deceased’s family members have also been informed. According to Superintendent of Police Gurudev Sharma on Sunday, “Police is investigating the reason for the tragedy and the offender will be found in this case.”
The SP declared: “A case of negligence has been lodged under sections 304A (causing death by negligence) and 336 (act endangering life or personal safety of others) of the IPC Act.
