An accident on the recently opened Samruddhi Expressway early on Wednesday morning claimed the lives of a 35-year-old woman and her 4-year-old daughter while seriously injuring her husband and their other daughter, according to a police officer.
He claimed that the accident in Washim occurred when the family was travelling home after visiting a shrine.
According to Washim Superintendent of Police (SP) Bacchan Singh, the event happened at around two in the morning when Advocate Ajay Joshi, his wife, and their two kids were travelling from Tuljapur to Nagpur.
The automobile made a lane change before making a turn. According to the authorities, his wife and daughter died there and then.
Joshi, a lawyer who represents clients in the Bombay High Court, and his other daughter are receiving medical treatment there.
The official said that an Accidental Death Report (ADR) had been filed with the Police and that additional inquiry was in progress.
