By transforming the current air-conditioned waiting rooms with many value-added amenities, such as body massage, pedicure, refreshment kiosks, kids zone, and a feeding room, the Central Railway, Nagpur division, is planning to establish the concept of a “paid lounge.”
There will soon be six such facilities with value-added services, including one on the eastern side next to the Cotton Market gate and two more waiting rooms.
According to a railway source, access to the two AC waiting rooms that have been turned into “paid lounges” would cost about Rs. 10 per hour. The three non-AC waiting rooms, including the new one coming up near the station’s end and the additional one that will be created by converting the dome on the Wardha side, wouldn’t charge an entrance fee, according to the official source.
