Every Thursday and Sunday, the Raman Science Centre and Planetarium hosts a free public sky observation event. Visitors who are interested can stop by the centre, get a scientific centre admission ticket, and take advantage of the lovely sky-watching programme.
On Thursday, Ghanshyam Sharma, CMD, Mineral Exploration Corporation Limited, Nagpur visited the RSC along with his family for the sky observation programme.
The programme starts at around 6.15 pm and continues for about an hour.
Currently, 3 planets are visible in the evening hours: Jupiter, Saturn and Mars. An extremely beautiful Schmidt telescope is used for observation which has a lens and a mirror.
