During the late afternoon hours on Thursday, a coal-loaded goods train, or Malgaadi went off the tracks at the Kalama Yard, Nagpur.
Ravish Kumar Singh, Senior DCM, South Eastern Central Railway in conversation with The Live Nagpur told “ The coal loaded train was going to Koradi from Kalamna Yard which is hardly a distance of 6-7 km. The incident took place on the same stretch. The route which the malgaadi was taking is not on the main line so no passenger traffic is affected.”
The malgaadi’s five wagons are impacted. Two of them derailed, and the other three went quite far. An Accident Relief Train (ART) has already been sent to the location. The Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) along with the team is also present at the location.
