The airline shared a video of him approaching his girlfriend’s seat while carrying a pink banner that reads, “I could walk forever and a mile with you. Would you like to walk with me?”
An Air India representative said to the sources that a cabin crew member he knew assisted the passenger. Knowing about the plan, the wingwoman got approval to facilitate the romantic gesture without upsetting other passengers.

The representative said, “Being an Air India employee, volunteering to assist pax travelling on our Airline is our responsibility.” The boy also booked the AI flight BOM/HYD/BOM on 2.1.2023 without her knowledge. “My niece approached me with the news that his friend wants to propose to his soon-to-be fiancée inside the aircraft who was travelling on Air India LHR/HYD/BOM,” she said.
Despite being pre-planned, the proposal only required minimal red tape, the official explained.
“I only coordinated with the crew, and our CC Jayesh Shirpurkar and Grita Tawde made it happen smoothly and without disturbing passengers.”
After a string of shocking flight incidents brought Air India under intense scrutiny from regulators, it was a sight for sore eyes for the crew.
