The City Police have made the serious decision to close 12 flyovers in the city on Sunday from 6 am to 6 pm in response to the accident brought on by kite fliers. Notably, numerous people have suffered injuries as a result of kite flyers. The potential of slitting two-wheeler riders’ throats was taken into account when making the choice.
We make a commitment to communicate well with one another on the day of “Makar Sankranti” and give “tilgul” to commemorate the festival. However, some kite fliers use sharp manja and display great carelessness while enjoying the holiday, endangering everyone around them, especially motorcyclists. A few others also stand on the bridge to catch kites.
Senior Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Chetna Tidke informed that traffic on 12 flyovers in Nagpur city will be closed on January 15 for the safety of people.
