Talented shuttler of the city Nikkita Joseph a17 year old girl selected for prestigious 84th Senior National Badminton Championship 2022-23 to be held at Pune from February 24 to 28.
A Total 470 entries from all over India including players like Olympic medalist Saina Nehwal, top shuttlers of the country HS Pranay, Lakshya Sen, Satvik Sairaj, Malvika, Ritika, P. Kashyap also participated in this tournament.
Nikkita Joseph got selected with her partner Sonali Mirkhelkar (Aurangabad) for women’s doubles individual Championship on the Basis of excellent performance in Maharashtra state level badminton tournaments at Nanded, Nagpur and Buldhana both girls showed their speed and skillful game.
Nikkita earlier participated in the ISF World School Championship in France 2022 and finished 7th position. She is a student of class 12th, Hislop College and player of Shuttlers Craze Sports Academy. She is practicing under the guidance of Badminton World Federation certified coach Chetak Khedikar who is ISF world Schools Badminton Championship Indian team coach 2022 at France.
