From March 10 to March 12, 2023, the Pench Tiger Reserve in Maharashtra will host the first butterfly survey, involving researchers and enthusiasts. The survey is being conducted in collaboration with Tinsa Ecological Solutions and more than 100 butterfly enthusiasts, researchers, and citizens from all seven ranges.
The survey will allow Management to scan the entire tiger reserve at the same time.
The current exercise will allow the tiger reserve to study the abundance and distribution of various butterfly species throughout the reserve. A check list of butterflies prepared by ACF Atul Deokar recently revealed 128 species in PTR.
Applicants must fill the Google form (https://forms.gle/SDrg8wELyNnkcQuv6) by February 25, 2023 at 5:00 p.m for registrations. Rs 1000 is the application fee.
