After some unidentified thieves allegedly stole a bag containing Rs. 9 lakh from CA Road here on Monday, rucuks created in Lakadganj area.
The money is the property of a city-based coal industrialist, according to police sources.
“The employee of Coal Industrialist had withdrawn Rs. 9 lakh from the Axis Bank on CA Road. When some unidentified thieves stole the bag from the complainant’s hand when he was on his way to the office. He sounded the alarm, but in vain,” according to sources.
The complainant then approached Lakadganj Police Station. Cops in the meantime have rushed to the spot and conducted the panchnama.
An offence under relevant Sections of the IPC has been registered at Lakadganj Police Station. Additional research is underway.
