The Yuva Sangam programme, an initiative of Prime Minister Narendra Modi will kickstart on Monday with the arrival of 30 students and 3 faculties from IIIT Manipur at IIIT Nagpur campus.
Under Yuva Sangam programme, over 20 thousand students in the age group of 18 to 30 years will travel across the country to gain an unique opportunity of cross-cultural learning aimed to build close ties between the youth of the North East Region and rest of India under the spirit of ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’.
The programme aims to provide an immersive, multidi- mensional experience of various facets under five broad areas of Paryatan (Tourism), Parampara ( Traditions), Pragati (Development), Praudyogiki (Technology) and Paraspar Sampark (People-to- people connect).
The seven day tour of IIIT Manipur students will compromise of visit to Anandwan, Pench National Park, NEERI, industrial areas, historical places in and around Nagpur, interaction with Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and the locals. ‘Shiv Pathak Dhol’ and a cultural programme will also be organsied for the visiting students.
