Students living in the Nagpur University hostel close to the law college are having serious issues with access to clean water. For students, hostels serve as their second home. They at least require some basic necessities to survive, but the Nagpur University hostel appears to have fallen short of providing such a necessity as drinking water.
Prior to the corona pandemic two years ago, water purifiers and coolers were installed in the hostel by spending lakhs of rupees, but they degraded due to hostel staff negligence. Students residing at the hostel have written “drink on your risk and unfiltered water” on the water cooler.
Condition of the University hostel is really in a bad shape and the students’ health could be negatively impacted by the garbage that is dumped in the hostel surrounding.
