Namita Tripathi has been appointed Divisional Railway Manager of the South East Central Railway’s Nagpur Division. She is a member of the Indian Railway Account Service’s 1992 batch. In 1995, she began her career as an assistant divisional finance manager in Central Railway’s Nagpur division. She has worked on a number of senior and influential people in the Central Railway, Northern Railway, and Railway Board.
She was the main proponent of dynamic pricing in Indian Railways while working as the Railway Board’s director (finance/commercial). She also performed admirably as Central Railway’s Deputy Chief Vigilance Officer. She has a master’s degree in development studies from the University of Leeds in the United Kingdom. She also received the prestigious Chevening Fellowship.
