Sahana Singh, a noted author, editor, and columnist who writes on a variety of issues including water, management, environment, and Indian history will give her talk on 30th April, Sunday at Chitnavis Centre. The talk is being hosted by a city-based youth organisation, Manthan under Vishwamanthan Research Foundation.
Sahana Singh will speak on the topic, ‘Educational Heritage of India’. The event will begin at 6 pm and the organisation has requested those interested to register online at www.manthanlive.com and occupy their seats 15 mins before the event.
Sahana Singh holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and a Master’s in Environmental Engineering from Delhi College of Engineering.
After winning two national essay contests, Sahana made a career shift to writing. In 2003, she was one of the winners of the Water Media Network Journalists Competition conducted by the World Bank and was awarded during the 3rd World Water Forum in Kyoto. In November 2008, she won the Developing Asia Journalism Awards (Infrastructure Category) in Tokyo, in which journalists from Asian countries competed.
Her book “The Educational Heritage of Ancient India – How an Ecosystem of Learning Was Laid to Waste” is available both in print and Kindle versions.
