On the occasion of Maharashtra Day, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde inaugurated Balasaheb Thackeray 300 Apla Dawakhana (Mohalla Clinics) today. In Nagpur Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis inaugurated Apla Dawakhana at Gorle Layout Near Trimurti Nagar.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that
“Another good scheme has been started under the leadership of the state health minister Tanaji Sawant. 5 lakhs are getting free treatment under Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana and now 5 lakhs are getting free treatment under Mahatma Phule Jan Arogya Yojana. Around 900 operations and treatment will be provided free of cost. So we will give free treatment to 8 crore people out of 12 crore people in Maharashtra. More than four lakh money is given for kidney transplant through this scheme. We are thinking that the burden of health should not fall on the common man. We are increasing the number of hospitals in this scheme”, informed Devendra Fadnavis.
While giving information about Apla Dawakhana he said, “It is a very good concept. Various services will be provided free of charge. Free guidance from various experts will also be provided in the hospital. Fadnavis said that the initiative to take care of the health of the common man is starting.
