Due to urbanization and changing lifestyles, we have neglected the environment and global warming for decades. But now these issues have become a topic of discussion and concern. Citizens have started looking at this issue seriously. According to a report by ‘Yale Program on Climate Change Communication’ and ‘CVoter International’s Global Warmings 4 India, 2022’, 82 percent of Indians are “concerned” about global warming.
A recent report revealed that 82 percent of Indians are concerned about global warming, while the remaining 18 percent are inactive about the issue. Telephonic interviews with 4,619 Indians were conducted between October 2021 and January 2022 for this report. 82 percent of Indians contacted are concerned about climate change.
According to the report, 54 percent of Indians are worried and believe that global warming can cause major damage. While 29 percent people are worried and they said that although this is an important issue, they do not know much about it. While 11 percent people are aware of this issue and feel that its results will not be immediate. 7 percent people have not thought about this issue.
