The South Eastern Central Railway administration has introduced the UTS (Unreserved Ticketing System) mobile app to promote digital ticketing and allow passengers to purchase unreserved railway tickets without facing queue-related issues. Passengers can download this app on their mobile phones and book unreserved tickets for their desired train journey for any station.
The UTS On Mobile App for online unreserved rail ticket booking is available at all stations under the Nagpur Division. Through station camps, complete information regarding the usage and benefits of this app is being provided to passengers. This assistance will help more railway travellers book unreserved tickets from their homes and avoid queues at booking counters.
Recently, the railway has made modifications to facilitate ticket booking through the UTS On Mobile App for the convenience of passengers who reside far from the station. The restricted distance for booking tickets has been increased from 5 km to 20 km. Now, passengers can book their unreserved tickets within a radius of 20 km from the railway station. Platform tickets can also be obtained through this mobile app, and seasonal tickets can be issued and renewed as well.
Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Dilip Singh, has appealed to passengers who travel with unreserved tickets to promote the usage of the mobile ticketing app and take advantage of the associated benefits.
