The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has termed data of over 19.17 lakh students illegal. Registration of students from Standard I to XII based on Aadhar Card is mandatory in the state using ‘Saral; portal. Besides the huge number of illegal data, doubts about the data of more than 13.43 lakh students have been expressed.
UIDAI has declared the data of 19,79,206 students illegal and expressed doubts about the data of 13,43,777 students.
The data is being collected and registration is made mandatory so that the benefits to the students reach the genuine students. In the state, 2,13,80,339 students are enrolled in schools and junior colleges. Of them, 3,91,711 have not registered on the Saral portal. Information about these students is not available. Out of the 2,09,88,628 students registered based on their Aadhar cards, the data of 1,96,44,851 was verified. The data of 1,76,65,645 students was found to be correct.
