A 9-month-old baby’s pure blood in the lungs was going to the right side of the heart instead of the left side. The baby’s life was in danger because of this change in the flow of pure and impure blood through the heart and lungs. The diagnosis of this disease was also complicated due to delay. But the doctors of Nagpur gave a new life to the baby by doing a successful ‘open heart surgery’
This child had this disease at birth. This disease is called ‘congenital cyanotic heart disease’ the disease was diagnosed in the sixth month. When the baby came to New Era Hospital for treatment, the baby’s condition had deteriorated. Complications were also compounded by late diagnosis. Because of this, it was advised to do ‘open heart surgery’ as soon as possible.
Congenital structural abnormalities of blood vessels are changes in the way blood flows through the heart and lungs. which occurs during fetal development. It is the leading cause of death in children with congenital Malformations.
