Nagpur’s Daughter Siddhi Dubey has been selected for the post of Flying Pilot in the Navy. Siddhi is the third generation of her family who is ready to serve the nation. Siddhi’s grandfather was a Subhedar in the Indian Army and father retired from the Indian Air Force.
After passing the SSB exam, 396 candidates took part in a rigorous five-day interview process for Flying Pilot in the Navy, out of which 4 have been selected, even better thing is that out of these four candidate three are girls. This is the second batch of women flying pilots in the Indian Navy. There was 1 woman flying pilot in the first batch. After the selection of three, this number has increased to four.
Siddhi completed her engineering in electronics and telecommunication from Nagpur in 2022, after which she appeared for the Staff Selection Board exam. along with studies, Siddhi had joined Air NCC. Siddhi had flown a plane during her 3 years of NCC training. During the selection for the navy, she had to go through computerized test and physical test. Siddhi will join the Navy from June 17. The passing out parade in December.
Siddhi gives the credit of success to her family. siddhi’s mother’s happiness knows no bounds when her daughter becomes a flying pilot. she says, “My daughter is serving the country. my daughter will now touch the sky.” On the other hand, Siddhi’s father is also not brimming with pride, he say that this is our third generation which is going to serve the country.
