The Donation box of Sai Mandira on Wardha Road in Nagpur is expressing surprise at the sudden increase in the inflow of Rs 2000 notes.
Earlier, three to four notes of two thousand rupees were received in the donation box of Sai temple. But now its number has increased. As of today, more than 100 notes, 2000 notes were dropped in the donation box.
The change is seen as the government has decided to demonetize the 2000 notes. It has also been asked to deposit these notes in the bank. But many people are seen putting these notes in the donation box of the temple without depositing them in the bank.
RBI has taken a major decision to demonetize 2000 notes. It has also decided to stop circulation of Rs 2000 notes under Clean Note Policy. RBI has appealed to citizens to go to banks and exchange these notes. Citizens will get Rs 2000 notes in exchange till September 30.
