A tragic incident unfolded at the Government Medical College (GMC) affiliated nursing college when a student, who had recently consumed panipuri, passed away during treatment. The student’s health rapidly deteriorated after a few hours of consuming the popular street food, ultimately leading to her demise on Thursday night. The exact cause of her death will be determined once the post-mortem report is available.
According to information gathered by the GMC doctor, the student had ventured out on the evening of July 3 and indulged in panipuri. Upon returning to the GMC hostel, she claimed to be full and refrained from eating. Subsequently, she began experiencing bouts of vomiting, and despite seeking medical assistance from the outpatient department the following day, her pain persisted. Despite the doctor’s advice, she initially resisted admission to the hospital but was eventually admitted on July 5. Unfortunately, her condition continued to worsen, resulting in her tragic death.
Concerns have arisen about whether the panipuri she consumed was contaminated, potentially leading to her poisoning. The investigation will delve into this critical question to shed light on the circumstances surrounding the student’s untimely demise.
