The recently held mega camp at Ner- Yavatmal, organized as part of the Wanadongri-based Shalinitai Meghe Hospital & Research Centre (SMHRC) community outreach activities, was a resounding success. The camp, which aimed to provide free multi-super speciality OPD and indoor medical services to those in need, commemorated the birthday of Hon. Minister Shri. Sanjay Rathod.
During the camp, thousands of individuals from the surrounding villages benefitted from the comprehensive medical services provided by a team of highly skilled and dedicated healthcare professionals from SMHRC and Acharya Vinoba Bhave Rural Hospital (AVBRH), Wardha. Beneficiaries availed themselves of a wide range of specialized medical consultations, diagnostic tests, and medicines, ensuring holistic healthcare delivery.
The objective of this mega camp was organised by Hon. Shri. Sanjay Rathod was to address the healthcare needs of the underserved and disadvantaged members of the community. By making quality medical care accessible to those who may not have been able to afford it otherwise, he aimed to improve the overall well-being and health outcomes of needy communities with the support of SMHRC, which also pursues its community engagement with missionary zeal.
The range of multi-super speciality services ensured that beneficiaries received comprehensive healthcare solutions. State-of-the-art diagnostic tests, such as blood tests, X-rays, ultrasounds, 2D Echo, Fibro scan, Mammography, TMT, and ECGs, were conducted free of cost during the camp. These tests helped in identifying and addressing underlying health issues in a timely manner. All necessary medications prescribed during the camp were provided free of cost to the beneficiaries by the volunteer team of Hon.Shri. Sanjay Rathod. It is added that more than 1000 patients referred from this camp will be provided free treatment, including surgeries under various government schemes at SMHRC & AVBRH. The camp generated a spirit of community involvement and solidarity as individuals from various walks of life came together to support one another. The engagement and enthusiasm displayed by the volunteers, healthcare professionals, and beneficiaries were truly remarkable. More than 3000 beneficiaries availed services during this camp which was a resounding success and justified the need of having such Maha Arogya shivirs on a regular basis in rural hinterlands of Vidarbha as envisaged by Visionary DMIHER Chancellor Shri.Dattaji Meghe.
Shri. Sanjay Rathod extended his sincerest thanks to the 100+ strong multi-super speciality team of SMHRC & AVBRH, who contributed to the success of the mega camp. The camp was coordinated by Community specialists namely Dr. Naresh Gill from SMHRC and Dr. Abhishek Joshi from AVBRH. On the occasion, Dr. Anup Marar- SMHRC Director, thanked Shri. Sanjayji Rathod for the confidence reposed and stated that SMHRC looks forward to regularly organizing more such community outreach activities in the future with the support of such proactive MLAs in their respective constituencies to continue positively impacting the lives of those in need.
