Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat convened a meeting with officials in Delhi to discuss the Nag River Rejuvenation Project, a collaborative effort with JICA at a cost of Rs 1927 crore.
During the meeting, Gadkari emphasized the need to expedite the project. The Nag River Pollution Abatement Project, which has been pending for several years, will receive funding from various sources. The central government will contribute Rs 1,115.22 crore, the Maharashtra government will provide Rs 507.36 crore, and the Nagpur Municipal Corporation will contribute Rs 304.41 crore. JICA will provide financial assistance to both the central and state governments.
