Amitesh Kumar, the Commissioner of Police, has called upon school representatives to establish transport committees in each school to ensure the safe travel of students. During a School Transport Committee meeting held at the Dr Vasantrao Deshpande Hall, Kumar emphasized the need for these committees to monitor and enforce safety norms for school buses.

Additionally, the Commissioner mentioned initiatives such as “Police Kaka” and “Police Didi” implemented by the Police Department to ensure the safety of girls and prevent harassment in schools.
