In preparation for the demolition of the Tekdi flyover near Nagpur railway station, significant progress has been made today as electric poles, cables, and meters on the bridge were successfully removed. Maha Metro, the governing authority, aims to construct a major road in place of the flyover.
Considering the presence of several important buildings surrounding the flyover, the demolition process will require meticulous planning and precautionary measures to ensure safety.
Initially scheduled to commence on Monday, the demolition work has been delayed due to the non-receipt of an official letter from the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC), as stated by Metro authorities.
The Tekdi flyover’s removal will pave the way for a significant redevelopment project, enhancing transportation infrastructure and accessibility in the area. Both Maha Metro and local authorities are committed to executing this project with utmost care and coordination to minimize any inconvenience to the public and adjacent structures.
