PWD Minister Dada Bhuse today inspected the zero point of Samruddhi Highway as well as Waifal toll booth. He also visited the control room, fire prevention system in case of fire in the vehicle, rapid action team vehicle, inspection of vehicles at the toll booth, counseling center for passengers, ambulances.
On this occasion, the Minister was shown a demonstration of fire prevention measures. In case of an accident on this highway, the responding ambulance reaches within 15 minutes. officials said that they are trying to bring this maximum period to another 10 to 12 minutes.
Minister Bhuse interacted with passengers traveling on Samruddhi Highway. Transport Commissioner Vivek Bhimanwar, Joint Managing Director of Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation AB Gaikwad, senior officials of Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation were also present.
A speed limit of 120 km has been fixed on the Samruddhi Highway. However, those who exceed this speed are stopped and counseled at the toll booths. the minister appealed to the drivers to follow the speed limit.
