Day with great zeal and enthusiasm. The school also observed the theme of “Nation First, Always First “which is an integral part of the “Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav” celebrations.
The Tricolour was hoisted by Dr.K.M.Bhandarkar, Ex. Principal Punjabbhai Patel College of Education, Gondia and Ex-Dean Faculty of Education RTMNU, Nagpur along with the Principal of DPS MIHAN, Ms. Nidhi Yadav. The Students, teaching, non-teaching staff were present on the occasion. A scintillating cultural programme infused with patriotic fervour was also held on the occasion where students of Grades III-V showcased their talents. The entire School was decorated in tri-colour and various activities related to the theme were conducted.
Dr.Bhandarkar, in his speech emphasized the students to work for building a strong India . He stressed that students should develop a strong interest in learning and practice the values taught in the school.The President and Pro Vice Chairperson of DPS MIHAN and DPS Kamptee Road Ms. Tulika Kedia and School Director Ms. Savita Jaiswal joined the function online and extended their greetings on the occasion.
Ms. Nidhi Yadav, Principal of DPS MIHAN in her address highlighted the rich culture of our country. She stressed every student to work with honesty and dedication towards the nation and uphold the dignity of our national flag.
The students performed a dazzling dance on the patriotic number“Janani Janmabhoomisch” and the choir group mesmerized the audience with the song “Hum Kare Rashtra Aaradhan”. Mst.Shaurya Bharadwaj in his speech, spoke about the achievements of Independent India from a nation under imperial rule to become the 5th strongest economy of the world.
Rayynav Shrivastav and Jiyansh Sukhadia did a short role play on Sardar Bhagat Singh’s last moments. Mst.Rayynav alsorecited an inspiring Hindi poem as a mark tribute for this greatfreedom fighter, who sacrificed his life for the nation. The programme was compered by Mst.Kalyan Sarvanan and Mst.Aryan Mishra who kept the audience spellbound with their oratory.
