Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University will host All India Inter-University Employees T-20 Cricket Tournament. An important meeting in this connection was held at the Jamnalal Bajaj Administrative Building of the University on Thursday. RTMNU Vice-Chancellor Dr Subhash Chaudhari was in the chair.
The national-level contest is held every year. RTMNU, which is celebrating its centennial year, has been selected to host the tournament.
Dr Chaudhari held a discussion about facilities for lodging and boarding of the teams. Dr Chaudhari also sought information about a number of teams and a number of players and officials who are likely to participate.
The tournament also called the All India Vice-Chancellors Trophy Cricket Tournament will first be held at the state level and the finals between winning teams at the state level for the national trophy.
RTMNU Registrar Dr Raju Hiwase, Director of Sports and Physical Education Dr Sharad Suryavanshi, Wazahat Ullah Khan and Adil Ahmad from Delhi, Dinesh Kumar from Hissar, Haryana; Subhash Pawar from Jalgaon, Dr Rama Rao, Prof Bablu Shrigiriwar, Dr Aditrya Soni, Dinesh Dakhne, Darpan Gajbhbiye, Ritesh Purkam, Suraj Suryavanshi, Nitin Kharbade and others were present.
