Right-wing organizations have established dominance over all the authorities of Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University, the history of the Congress in the history books of the syllabus has been cut. History of BJP has been included in the MA syllabus. the Communist Party has been excluded from history. Ram Janmabhoomi movement will be taught as ‘Movement between 1980 to 2000’.
In the name of the new National Education Policy, the Board of History Studies of the University has changed the syllabus of the fourth semester of the Master’s course in History. The scope of the syllabus has been changed from 1948 to 2010 to include BJP. The history of Congress has been reduced to the subject of ‘National Political Parties’ in the syllabus. Instead, now the formation of Jana Sangh, their work, expansion, ideology, their national role etc. have been elaborated. This syllabus will be implemented from the academic year 2023-24
