Education is the very foundation of our society’s growth, and educators play a pivotal role, in sculpting the minds that will shape our future. Celebrating the undying spirit and dedication of these educators, Learning Matters, a renowned ed-tech organization based in Bengaluru, India, has been hosting the Star Educator Awards. This commendable initiative which was held in partnership with MHRD, Karnataka Government, Partner Incubator and ALTE shines a light on those educators and educational institutions globally who have tirelessly worked to inspire and make a lasting impact on the lives of their students.
The online award ceremony, which took place on 4th September 2023, marked the fifth year of these awards. With around 15 categories to its name, educators from all across the country had put forth their nominations, competing at a global level.
Amidst such stiff competition, it brings immense pride to announce that our very own Mr Chetak Khedikar, the Head of the Department of Sports at Centre Point School, Amravati Road Bypass, has been conferred with the award for ‘Excellence in Promoting Physical Education’. This recognition is a testament to his unwavering dedication, commitment, and passion for education.
With a vast experience spanning 25 years as a badminton coach, Chetak Sir’s accolades are many. He has mentored international players who have brought laurels to our country. Under his guidance, India clinched a Gold Medal at the ISF World School Championship in France. His exemplary training methodologies have ensured that players under his wing not only shine at the international level but also dominate at the state and national levels. As the HOD of Sports, his vision and strategies have consistently propelled students to reach the pinnacle of their potential.
