The All-party OBC leaders have started a protest to protect the OBC Reservation quota. The leaders demanded that they give reservation to the Maratha community without harming OBC quota. This protest is organized under the banner of National OBC Federation, Maharashtra leader of opposition and senior congress leader Vijay Wadettiwar, BJP District President Sudhakar Kohle, Bjp leader Ashish Deshmukh, NCP leader and former MLA Dinanath Padole, OBC leader Babanrao Tayawade were present in this protest.
Purushottam Shahane Patil, convener of OBC Action Committee, said that “There is no opposition to Maratha reservation but government should not be given concessions from reservation for OBCs and Kunbis. The Maratha community should be given the benefit of separate reservation. Our protest is not against any community but against the government. The agitation will continue until the government gives written guarantees regarding our demands.
