Rs 10.60 lakhs were extorted from husband and wife by cyber criminals in the name of getting them a job in Canada. The accused extorted this money in the name of visa and other procedures. The incident took place in Mankapur police station limits.
The name of the complainant is Sadayya Mantuseshana (32). He and his wife were looking for a job abroad. On April 12, Sadayya and his wife received messages on whatsapp. It mentioned about the job. The accused made them follow. After that, the accused lured them to get a job in Canada. Thereafter Rs 10.60 lakh was recovered from time to time in the name of visa, documents and other processing charges. But he did not give employment to the concerned couple.
As soon as they realized that they had been cheated, Sadayya filed a complaint at the Mankapur police station. The police have registered a case under the IT Act against the accused.
