Norwegian novelist and dramatist John Fosse has been awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature. The Swedish Academy announced John Fosse’s name on Thursday.
The Nobel Prize has been awarded for Fosse’s innovative plays and prose which give voice to the unsayable. The Academy honoured Fossey’s work including several plays, novels, poetry, essays, books for children and translations.
With a distinct writing style, Fosse came to be known as ‘Fosse minimalism’, due to their most simplistic versions.
