Police have arrested the accused who raped an engineering student at Jamtha on wardha Road. It is reported that the Beat Marshal of Beltarodi Police has arrested the accused from Beltarodi area. The crime branch has detained the accused and the police are currently interrogating him.
The accused had raped an engineering student in the forest of Jamtha area, threatening her with an axe. After this incident, the accused absconded. Nagpur police launched a massive search operation to find the accused. The police issued a sketch of the accused and took the help of drones to trace him. The police had also announced a reward of Rs 5 lakh for the information about the accused.
