Department of Applied Physics, Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering, Nagpur, has organized a Guest Lecture on “Quantum Computing : Challenges and Applications” by Dr Aatish Daryapurkar , Assistant Professor , IIIT Nagpur for B. Tech. first Year students. Dr. Aatish started the session by providing the information about classical computers and its limitations. Later on he ignited the young minds to look deeper and appreciate the wonders of Quantum Computing, its technological applications, challenges in the Quantum Computing and role of Physics behinds the quantum computing.
Dr. U. P. Waghe, Principal YCCE, Nagpur congratulated the faculty members of Department of Applied Physics for organizing the guest lecture on novel technology like Quantum Computing. Dr. Mrs. Hemlata Ganvir HOD Applied Physics gave the welcome address.
Dr. S A Fartode handled the proceedings and Dr. V Y Ganvir proposed the vote of thanks. Student Volunteers Ms. Amisha Bansod and Ms. Dishita Ghuge gave the feedback. Dr. Mrs. B. N. Patil, Dr. A. Z. Khan, Dr. M A Upasani, Dr. D V Jamkar and Prof. T M Jaulkar worked hard for the success of the event.
