Maharashtra government has announced cash awards to the medal winning players of the state in the 19th Asian Games held in China. 21-year-old young archer Ojas Deotale from Nagpur, who won three gold medals for the country, will be honored with a cash prize of Rs 2.5 crore.
Ojas had won the gold medal in the individual category. For this, he will be given Rs 1 crore, Rs 75 lakh for mixed team gold medal and Rs 75 lakh for winning gold in men’s team compound event.
As per the decision of the State Government, Rs 1 crore has been provided in GR for individual Asian medal winner and Rs 75 lakh for winning team gold.
