Central India’s largest agricultural exhibition, Agrovision, an important vehicle for agricultural transformation in Vidarbha, is being organized from 24th to 27th November 2023 at PDKV Ground, Dabha, Nagpur.
Agrovision was initiated 14 years ago under the leadership of Union Minister Shri. Nitinji Gadkari and within such a short span of time it has become the largest agricultural exhibition in Central India.
Workshops focusing on agricultural technology training, presentation of excellent state-of-the-art technology at the national and international level, workshops on the latest topics in agriculture, and conferences that will provide a new direction to the agriculture industry in Vidarbha along with special platforms for technology innovation, MSMEs and livestock Pavillion will be the highlighting features of Agrovision exhibition this year.
Dignitaries invited for Agrovision 2023
The inauguration of Agrovision 2023 will be held at the hands of Shri. Acharya Devvrat – Governor of Gujarat, Shri. Parshottam Rupala – Minister of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, GoI, Shri. Devendra Fadnavis – Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Shri. Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil – Minister for Revenue and Animal Husbandry, Government of Maharashtra, Dr. Meenesh Shah, Chairman and Managing Director, National Dairy Development Board, Ms. Alka Upadhyaya, I.A.S – Secretary, Department of Animal Husbandry & Dairying, Government of India, Shri. Tukaram Mundhe, I.A.S. Secretary, Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development, Government of Maharashtra, Shri. Sudhir Mungantiwar – Minister for Forests, Cultural Affairs and Fisheries, Government of Maharashtra …and agricultural ministers from Uttar Pradesh and Assam will also be present.
Agrovision’s workshops to educate and encourage farmers
Agrovision has been organizing free workshops for farmers since its inception. The main focus of this year’s workshops will be on production technology, new farming practices, agriculture-associated ventures, advanced technologies, market facilities, livestock management, and infrastructure. Workshops at Agrovision are organized with the aim of making farming easier and more importantly increasing the income of the farmers. The Agrovision Advisory Committee has carefully curated workshops on 30+ different topics. Through these workshops, farmers will get the opportunity to get inspired by the guidance of experts and success stories of successful farmers from across the country. These workshops have been organized on several topics that will be useful for farmers, some of these workshops will be of longer duration to ensure complete knowledge sharing.
Cultivation and processing of turmeric and ginger, Export quality production of oranges and bananas, Sugarcane cultivation technology, Goat and sheep farming, Poultry farming, off-season and export quality vegetable production, vegetable seed production, New technologies for maximizing the production of cotton, Colored cotton, Surgical cotton, Linseed, and sorghum production and value addition, oilseed production, agricultural finance, greenhouse technology, hydroponics, vertical farming, rural prosperity through water prosperity – Aspirational Washim District Pattern, Micro Irrigation, Jalyukt-shivar, Group Farming, Organic Farming, Mechanization in Farming, Appropriate use of Agrochemicals, Agri-Tourism, use of artificial intelligence (AI) and drone technology for agriculture, importance of weather forecasting and other similar topics of importance will be covered under the workshops
One Day Conference
A total of 3 conferences have been organized in Agrovision this year. Conferences will be held on Dairy Industry Opportunities in Vidarbha, Freshwater Fisheries Opportunities in Vidarbha, and Food Processing Industry: Opportunities and Challenges in Central India. These conferences will be organized to lay the foundation for policy changes and to provide more income opportunities to the farmers. Policymakers, progressive farmers, and all concerned will participate in these conferences.
Grand National Agricultural Exhibition
Central India’s largest and most prestigious National Agricultural Exhibition, Agrovision will be presented in a more comprehensive format this year. Many major manufacturers of agricultural products in India, research institutes, government departments, various states, and agricultural universities will present their technologies in the exhibition.
Along with this, the advanced technology, research, and service institutes leading the country’s agriculture field will also participate in this exhibition. The exhibition will include sophisticated spraying equipment, important machinery that helps in dealing with labor-related problems, machinery for orange and other fruit crops, post-harvest technology, and other automated systems. Apart from this, separate arrangements will be made for industries under MSME and NSIC.
Apart from this, there will also be a separate livestock pavilion. UPL, Ankur Seeds, SBI, Tirth Agro, TAFE, ITC, VH Group, E Verse AI, BKT Tyres, and Coromandel Seeds have confirmed their participation in the exhibition.
Showcase for innovations and startups
University students from agricultural and non-agricultural (engineering, ITI, etc.) background, agricultural researchers, and new entrepreneurs will be given an opportunity to present their agriculture and farmer-centric innovations and startup business models at the National Agricultural Exhibition during Agrovision. Those presenting the best innovations will be given stall at the Agrovision exhibition.
Agrovision Awards
Like every year, this year too, the farmers who have performed remarkably in the agricultural sector of Vidarbha will be honored with the Agrovision Award. This year 5 award categories have been announced.

Agrovision “Krishi Manthan” Essay Competition
An essay competition is organized by Agrovision every year for the students of Maharashtra, this year the essay competition is organized on the topic – Impact of climate change on agricultural production. Students of any discipline between the ages of 18 to 25 can participate in this competition. The last date for submission of the essay is 15 November 2023.
The exhibition is being organized by Agrovision Foundation, MMActiv Sci-Tech Communication, VED, MEDC, and Purti Power and Sugar Ltd. In the press conference, the organizing secretary of Agrovision, Mr. Ravi Bortkar, Mr. Ramesh Mankar, Chairman, Agrovision Advisory Council Dr. C.D Mayee, Dr. Pinak Dande, Dr. Sunil Sahatpure and other distinguished members were present. As only few stalls are left, the organizers have appealed for participation in this exhibition as soon as possible.
