NMC starts the winter session to provide relief to the homeless people. The winter drive started on November 16 .
Under this drive, relief is provided to the ones who have faced domestic violence, family problems, arguments at home, parent abandonment cases, a lack of resources, or many other similar issues; they typically end up on the streets, in parks, beneath flyovers’ shade, or in other places designated as homeless shelters. In an effort to provide temporary shelter to the homeless individuals in Nagpur, the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) is scheduled to launch its winter drive on November 16 in an effort to help them heal from the trauma they are experiencing and regain their sense of self.
The Samajik Suraksha Vibhag, in collaboration with NMC and nearby non-profit organizations, will spearhead the effort to relocate these individuals to the six government shelter homes situated in Sitabuldi, Indora. Furthermore, the NMC also employs Sadar and Hansapuri, Itwari, and Itwari (two units).
