Central Railways and Western Railways have started special trains, ensuring that passengers can travel from Mumbai to Ahmedabad to witness the Cricket World Cup final on November 19th.
Central Railways will be running a Cricket World Cup special train from Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CSMT) to Ahmedabad and back. The train, numbered 01153 CSMT-Ahmedabad Special Express, will depart at 22.30 hrs on 18/11/23 and reach Ahmedabad at 06.40 hrs on 19/11/23.
On the return journey, train number 01154 Ahmedabad-CSMT Special Express will depart from Ahmedabad at 01.45 am on 20/11/23 and reach CSMT at 10.35 hrs on 20/11/23. The train will have halts at CSMT, Dadar, Thane, Vasai, Surat, Vadodara, and Ahmedabad. The train will consist of 17 LHB coaches, including 11 3A, 3 2A, 1 1A, and 2 SLR power cars.
Western Railways will run two trains, one from Bandra Terminus to Ahmedabad and another from Mumbai Central to Ahmedabad.
Train number 09001 will depart from Bandra Terminus at 11:45 pm on November 18th and arrive in Ahmedabad at 7:20 am on November 19th. The train will have halts at Borivalli, Palghar, Vapi, Valsad, Navsari, Surat, Vadodara, and Geratpur.
Another train, number 09049, will depart from Mumbai Central Railway Station at 11:55 pm on November 18th and arrive at Kalupur Junction at 8:45 am on Sunday (the match day). The train will have halts at Borivalli, Vapi, Valsad, Surat, Bharuch, Vadodara, and Geratpur.
