The Chanda Devi Saraf School organised 1st Inter School Marathon 2023.

The Chanda Devi Saraf School organized its 1st Inter School Marathon on 3rd December 2023, The Principal Mrs. Bharti Malviya got the proceedings on the way by welcoming the guest and also explained the motive of the marathon. The motive of the Marathon was to create awareness about traffic rules and road safety for the young minds. The marathon brought together runners of diverse ages and backgrounds a total 305 participants from 16 different schools from all over Nagpur City participated in the event. 

The category for the Marathon was 2 km for Girl students of class 6^th & 7^th,                                                     3 km for Boys representing class 6^th & 7^th, 3 km Girls from class 8^th & 9^th,                                                     4 km for Boys of class 8^th & 9^th

The Marathon was flagged off by Mr. Sanket Saraf, Trustee (Chanda Devi & Gulabdasji Saraf Charitable Trust), M/s Chetna Thakre (DCP Traffic, Nagpur) Mr. Prakesh Khandekar (Janakrosh), Mrs. Bharti Malviya (Principal The CDS School). 

Result of the Marathon –

• 2 km for Girl students of class 6^th & 7^th –

1^st Place –  Ms. Himanshi Bawane (Tejas Vidyalaya – Dabha)

2^nd Place – Ms. Jagruti Kamble (Bhagwati Girls High School – Nandanvan)

3^rd Place – Ms. Akshara Balpande ( The CDS School – Hingna Road)

• 3 km for Boys representing class 6th & 7^th  –

1^st Place –  Master Pratik Badole  (The CDS School, Katol road)

2^nd Place – Master Mohd. Zohran (SFS School of Excellence)

      3^rd Place –  Master. Prajwal Dhumankhede (Prabodhankar Thakre School Duttawadi)                                

• 3 km girls from class 8th & 9^th –

1^st Place –  Ms. Janvi Bawane (Tejas Vidyalaya- Dabha)

2^nd Place – Ms. Prena Kale (Prabodhankar Thakre School Duttawadi)

3^rd Place –  Ms. Kiran Doye (Bhagwati Girls High School Nandanvan)

• 4 km for Boys of class 8th & 9^th–

1^st Place –  Master Rohan Deshmukh ( Keshav Nagar high School Nandanvan)

2^nd Place – Master Amit Sharma ( Hindu Vidya Bhavan School, Hanuman Nagar)

3^rd Place –  Master. Sahil Kumar Sahu (KV- Ordnance Factory Ambazari)

On their Splendid Achievement the school Director Mrs. Nisha Saraf along with all the guest Congratulated the winners. The event was coordinated by Mr. Percy Amroliwalla (Sports –Coordinator, The CDS School)  Mr. Ashish Gatlewar, Mr.Harish Choube, Mr. Vishal Wankhede, Mrs. Sangeeta Bhange  along with the entire staff of the school played a vital role in the event. The Vote of Thanks was narrated by Mrs. Nirmala Simon (Vice Principal the CDS School).
