Agriculture Technology Management Agency (ATMA) and Agriculture Department have jointly organized Foodgrains Festival-2023 under District Agriculture Festival from December 19 to December 23.
The festival will be open for the public from 10 am to 8 pm at Dr Panjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapeeth’s post-graduate hostel premises in Ramdaspeth. Dhananjay Munde, Agriculture Minister, will grace the inaugural ceremony, said DrArchana Kadu, Project Director, ATMA. Addressing a press conference at Collectorate on Saturday, Dr Kadu said that the festival will have 200 stalls showcasing agricultural produce for sale. “We are organizing the event to establish a direct link between farmers and buyers. There will be stalls of rice, food grains, fruits, vegetables, organic agricultural produce, dairy products etc,” she said.
Farmers and business owners will receive information about various schemes. During the festival period, buyer-seller meetings and expert seminars will be arranged for forward-thinking and creative farmers.
On December 22, at the farewell party, farmers who have done excellent work will receive recognition.
