The Khasdar Bhajan Competition, conceptualized by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, is scheduled to take place from January 5 to 20. ‘Shri Ram Bhakti’ will be the central concept of the competition in the backdrop of the inauguration ceremony of the Shri Ram Temple in Ayodhya. Nagpur residents can enjoy a devotional fair lasting for fifteen days on this occasion. This contest will be held in six categories for men and women bhajani mandals in Nagpur.
In celebration of the Shriram Mandir inauguration in Ayodhya on January 22, participating bhajani mandals will perform two Shri Rama songs, including one from genres like Gondhal, Jogwa, Abhang, or any other devotional category. Two such songs are to be performed, not exceeding 10 minutes. . A total of 12 bhajani mandals, two from each of the six divisions, will be selected for the grand finale, with winners receiving cash prizes and mementos from Union Minister Nitin Gadkari at the Kavivarya Suresh Bhat Auditorium in Reshimbagh on January 20, 2024, at 5:30 p.m.
Those interested in participating can collect competition entry forms from Gadkari’s public relations office in Khamla between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Additionally, they must submit the application form and confirm their participation before January 1.
