In a recent operation, CRIME Branch Unit-4 conducted a raid on Syed Guest House in the Bada Tajbag area, resulting in the apprehension of three drug smugglers, one of whom hails from Mumbai. The arrested individuals are Salim Khan (30) from Andheri East, Mohd Sharifuddin Mohd Akbar (41) from Ekta Chowk, and Sheikh Waseem Sheikh Sattar (36) from Sakkardara. The police, led by Deputy Police Commissioner Mumakka Sudarshan, seized Mephedrone (MD) drugs valued at Rs 6.65 lakh during the operation. The fugitive smuggler, Shahnawaz Turk, managed to escape arrest. A case under the provisions of the NDPS Act has been registered at Sakkardara police station.
