The manager of an infrastructure company absconded with Rs. 14.5 lakh, leading to his arrest in Hyderabad by the police, who tracked him through electronic surveillance. The incident occurred under Hingna police station.
Megha Engineering and Infrastructure Limited has its office at Datal Camp near Samruddhi Expressway. Kandula Pitchi Reddy, a 45-year-old resident of Marotinagar, Somajiguda, Hyderabad, worked there as an associate manager. His role involved managing the company’s cash. Between December 2 and 7, he absconded with Rs 14.56 lakhs.
As he did not come to work, the company inquired at his home. They also rang up his mobile but there was no response. Finally, on the complaint of Valluri Srikant Valluri Ramanaiah, a case was registered against the accused in Hingna Police Station and the search for him started. When the police investigated through e-surveillance, it came to light that he was in Hyderabad. A police team went to Hyderabad and arrested him.
The court has remanded him in police custody till December 26. The team of Police Inspector Vishal Kale and constables Pandurang Jadhav, Nageshwar Dasarwar, Anil Zade and Sanjay Taide took this action.
