A nationwide sports competition, to be hosted by Gram Swaraj Yojana of Abhyudaya Youth Club, will take place in Nagpur from January 19–22. The competition aims to give tribal youth access to sports opportunities and a platform for their talent.
The Nagpur Traders’ Association met to talk about the planning for this significant occasion. In a gathering at Sewa Sadan High School, Ekal Abhiyan’s National General Secretary, Madhvendra Singh, who was in attendance in person, urged everyone to work together to ensure the event’s success.
According to Singh, 1200 athletes from 28 states will arrive in Nagpur on January 19 in preparation for the national competition, which will be held at the campus of Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj University in Nagpur. Running, long jump, high jump, wrestling, yoga, and other activities are examples of sports.
He clarified the purpose of the Ekal Abhiyan, stating that Swami Vivekanandaji’s maxim “if the student cannot go to school, the school has to go to the student” served as inspiration for the program’s founding in 1989. Balkrishna Bhartia of Ekal Srihari moderated the program, and Ghanshyam Kukreja gave a vote of thanks.
