The number of dengue patients has increased four times in 2023 compared to 2022 in six districts of East Vidarbha. Most of the patients are from Nagpur municipal limits.
According to the records of the Pune office of the Public Health Department, 5527 suspected cases of dengue were found in six districts of East Vidarbha in 2022. Out of them, 552 patients were diagnosed with dengue. In 2023, 23,744 suspected patients were registered here. as many as 2365 patients were diagnosed with dengue. therefore, the number of dengue patients increased four times in 2023 compared to 2022. Most of them 865 patients were found in Nagpur municipal limits. 439 patients were also reported in Nagpur rural.
