The state government has decided to constitute Forest Industrial Development Corporation on the lines of Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation. The government has initially released an amount of Rs 48 crore. Forest Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar gave this information.
The Forest minister said, “The teak wood used in the Ram temple has come from the forests of Chandrapur and Gadchiroli. The surprise is that we have a demand for teak from the world. We have received a certificate from the Ram Mandir Trust that it is the best teak wood which can last for a thousand years.”
He further said, “Since we have the best wood in the world, we have decided to set up Forest Industrial Development Corporation on MIDC land. Its first experiment is going to be done in Chandrapur. Mungantiwar also said that, I believe that the day is not far when the furniture made by a from our district will go to the White House of America.
